Playsense Occupational Therapy

Service Description

Playsense Occupational Therapy provides trauma-informed, child-centred, play-based occupational therapy for children aged 0–16 and their families. We support children with emotional and sensory regulation, sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, handwriting and school readiness, play, friendships and social connection, and feeding. We also provide caregiver coaching for parents, foster and kinship carers. Our team's expertise includes trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, Theraplay, DIR/Floortime, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Occupational Performance Coaching (OPC) and neuro-affirming practice. We work with many children who have experienced trauma, including children in out-of-home care and kinship care, and work closely with caseworkers, schools and health professionals. Sessions are offered in clinic, by telehealth and through home programs, and we also run workshops and presentations for agencies and community groups
