Service Description

MENTOR is a new mental health charity and support service based in Sydney. MENTOR delivers ‘The Mentor Program’ - a traditional, community based, intensive program for people with mental illness especially for people who are vulnerable and/or hard to reach. The Mentor Program is ‘Recovery Oriented’ as per the national framework. Some of the teams have lived experience of mental health recovery. The purpose of MENTOR is to help people determine a better way of life and well-being. The goal of the service is to help people toward ‘recovery’- to help people get to the point where they can go on and achieve their own recovery. At MENTOR we believe that people with mental illness deserve services that foster hope and promote dignity. We plan to make a relentless attempt to help people achieve recovery - we are determined to make every opportunity count.
