Service Description

Inpatient mental health services are provided across the Concord Centre for Mental Health located on the Concord Repatriation General Hospital campus and the Professor Marie Bashir Centre located at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital campus. Services include 24 hour Assessment Units at both campuses. There are beds spanning acute and high dependency needs as well as acute and extended recovery units. There are a number of state-wide tertiary referral services at the Walker Unit for adolescents with complex mental health issues, the Peter Beumont Eating Disorders Services at the Professor Marie Bashir Centre and the Naamuru Parent and Baby Unit.

The Community Mental Health Service provides care co-ordination, crisis assessment and intervention. Along with access and referral to specialised teams including Child and Adolescent services, Aboriginal Mental Health, Early Psychosis Services and Assertive Outreach Teams. Referrals can be made via the 24hour Mental Health Line 1800 011 51
