Carer Support Group Transcultural Mental Health Parramatta - Mandarin
Service Description
The Transcultural Mental Health Centres Carer Support Program has established and facilitated several language-specific carer support groups for families and carers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, who live with or care for a family member or friend with a mental health problem. Some of these mental health problems are severe depression, eating disorders, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and all childhood disorders. The support groups offer information, support, and educational activities to carers, who are from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. They link carers to relevant support services available in the community.
