Psycho-Oncology Service

Service Description

A service available to oncology patients, carers and loved ones who are being treated in the Illawarra Shoalhaven area, or residing in the area and receiving treatment outside. Provides support when learning of a cancer diagnosis and assisting through treatment. It includes concerns with anxiety, depression, panic and fear, fatigue, sleeping and eating issues, sexual difficulties, loss and bereavement, adjusting, getting back to regular routines after treatment, coming to terms with a poor prognosis and other psychological issues.
