Carers ACT Ltd
Service Description
Carers ACT supports, empowers and connects unpaid carers across the ACT. We provide information, practical supports, emotional supports, respite and opportunities for social connection to people who provide unpaid care to a family member, partner, friend or neighbour. Support is available for carers of people living with disability, mental ill health, dementia, chronic or terminal illness, alcohol or other drug dependency, those who are frail due to older age, and children and young people in kinship or foster care arrangements. Services include information and guidance, counselling, coaching, respite, peer support, education, wellbeing activities, young carer supports and advocacy. Carers ACT also delivers the Australian Government's Carer Gateway services in the ACT.
