ACON
Service Description
ACON is Australiaâs largest health organisation specialising in community health, inclusion and HIV responses for people of diverse sexualities and genders. Established in 1985, ACON works to create opportunities for people in our communities to live their healthiest lives. We provide health services, support, information, referrals and linkage to counselling and care coordination support to LGBTQ+ people. This includes supporting people to report to police and access legal services. We work with and train a variety of services to improve the experiences of LGBTQ+ people accessing these services. ACON also coordinates projects such as Welcome Here and community volunteer programs that focus on community safety, engaging communities and responding to community needs.
