Mental Health Court Queensland
Service Description
A special court to decide the state of mind of people charged with criminal offences. Criminal cases are referred to the court if it is believed the alleged offender was mentally ill or has an intellectual disability at the time the offence was committed. It determines if the person is fit for trial. The court also hears appeals from the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
