Public Guardian (Head Office)
Service Description
A statutory official appointed by the Guardianship Division of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal Division (NCAT-GD) or the Supreme Court under the Guardianship Act. Responsibilities include promoting the rights and interests of people with disabilities through guardianship, advocacy and education. Guardians make legal decisions on behalf of a person with a disability who is unable to make decisions on their own or without support, including health and welfare matters but never financial matters nor wills.
