HIV and LGBTQ+ Counselling

Service Description

Provides confidential short term counselling (up to 12 sessions) for people living with or affected by HIV and LGBTQ+ people who are ineligible for Medicare and/or are experiencing financial hardship seeking support in relation to their mental health and wellbeing. Counsellors use solutions focused models and a range of therapeutic approaches to better equip people to deal with life’s challenges. This service is not suitable for people who have suicidal thoughts or risk, people who use violence, or people with unmanaged mental illness or substance abuse.

Hours of Operation

Appointments are available Monday-Friday during business hours. There are limited appointments with volunteer counsellors available between 6pm and 7p
