Provides support and services to General Practices, doctors and health practitioners in rural and remote areas. It promotes high level health care in regional areas. Services include assistance to doctors and nurses in finding suitable employment, delivery of outreach services, support for doctors through continuing education, and involvement in government policy for rural medicine. This is a professional organisation and does not provide medical services directly to the public.
