Service Description

Provides legal services to people on low incomes in the ACT on ACT Housing and tenancy law for public housing tenants, community housing tenants and people with occupancy agreements. Also provides legal advice on social security law, disability discrimination and race discrimination matters for people who live in the ACT. Runs a phone Night Time Legal Advice Service on a Tuesday night between 6pm and 8pm which provides advice in most areas of law not covered by its Day Time Service. housing law, social security law, street law (for homeless individuals), disability discrimination, and night time legal advice service. Assistance is available for people who are having issues with Centrelink or Social Security. A Social Work service is available to provide emotional and social support, including case management. A clinic is open to people with urgent housing, disability discrimination and Centrelink problems, providing intensive social work.
