Western Aboriginal Tenants Advice & Advocacy Service (WATAAS)

Service Description

Advocates and assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients with tenancy issues in a culturally sensitive manner that contributes to the development of Aboriginal communities. Services offered include support, representation, letters of support, information, advice, conciliation and education. They will attend the Tribunal for mediation if required, assist with the Housing Appeals Committee applications and hearings, negotiate with landlords, and assist with property repairs and maintenance.
