Service Description

"Youthblock Youth Health Service Youthblock focuses on priority health issues such as chronic illnesses and disability, harm and injury, mental health, nutrition, physical activity, oral health and sexual health. Referrals are via the phone or in person. Drop-in nursing clinics on Mondays 1-5pm and Fridays 9-1pm. All appointments are free, confidential and non-judgmental. No Medicare card is needed. Youthblock provides a “one stop shop” approach to health, where young people can access counselling, medical, nursing, basic needs (hot showers, clothing and a toastie) and health promotion. Youthblock also provides outreach to youth services, including Belmore Youth Resource Centre. The Youthblock Health Promotion workers also provides health education workshops on a wide range of topics and capacity building training for health workers and youth workers" The building has external and internal stairs.
