The principal Australian and New Zealand body representing the medical specialty of psychiatry. A primary object of College is to conduct postgraduate courses of study, hospital-based training and examinations for medical practitioners to qualify as psychiatrists. It oversees training, education and representation of member psychiatrists. The College is not a referral body, however there is a web based 'Find a Psychiatrist' on the website to search a directory of private psychiatrists specializing in particular areas across Australia and also other search options such as bulk billing by using the advanced search option.
