Young Aboriginal Mother's Program

Service Description

An early intervention service for Aboriginal women. The program engages with, supports and helps mothers through the first 5 years of their child's life, including during pregnancy. Weekly Mothers Groups operate with support for protection of children, infants and the family unit. Assists mothers to manage anxiety in relation to their children and role as a mother by overcoming previous obstacles in their lives. There are three Mother's Groups, for women aged 25 and older with babies and preschool aged children, and two young mothers 14-24, with small babies.
