Service Description
The main function is to raise literacy levels in Australia's most marginalised communities. There are six core programs and community projects. It provides funding, training, support and resources to families, schools and individuals. The six programs are Early Language and Literacy- addressing early intervention, Refugee Action Support to assist young refugees in gaining literacy and language skills, First Language Literacy, Community Action Support- working with Indigenous communities to foster confidence in language and literacy, Literacy Packs and Share a Book- providing new and pre-loved books to the communities in need.
