Service Description
The main function is to assist people in marginalised communities to gain vital language, literacy and communication skills, providing training, support and resources to children, families and schools. There are seven core programs and community projects. They are Early Language and Literacy- addressing early childhood literacy, Refugee Action Support to assist young refugees in gaining literacy and language skills, Indigenous First Language - working with First Nations communities to revitalise their Languages, Subtext - merging the arts and literacy to build young people's language and confidence, Breakfast Library - providing breakfast and books to children across schools, Literacy Packs and Share a Book- providing books and learning resources to communities.
