Carer Support Group Transcultural Mental Health Campsie - Cantonese
Service Description
The Transcultural Mental Health Centres Carer Support Program has established and facilitated a number of language-specific carer support groups for families and carers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, who live with or care for a family member or friend with a mental health problem. Some of these mental health problems are severe depression, eating disorder, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and all childhood disorders.
The support groups offer information, support and educational activities to carers who are from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The groups meet on a monthly basis in different suburbs across the Sydney metropolitan areas.
