TMHC Cantonese-speaking Carer Support Group - Campsie
Service Description
The Transcultural Mental Health Centre (TMHC) Carer Support Program has established and facilitated several language-specific carer support groups for families and carers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, who live with or care for a family member or a friend with a mental health condition. Some of these mental health problems are severe depression, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and all childhood disorders. The support groups offer information, support, and educational activities to carers, who are from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The groups meet monthly in different suburbs across the Sydney metropolitan area.
