Mother and Baby Unit St John of God Burwood
Service Description
Inpatient program with 12 beds, specialising in perinatal psychiatry. Mothers and babies remain together during treatment. The program includes individual counselling, family counselling, group counselling, infant attachment, sleeping problems, anxiety and anger management, medication and parent-craft skills. It assists women experiencing perinatal depression and anxiety during pregnancy, and other mental health problems such as Bipolar Disorder and Postpartum Psychosis.
