Queensland Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma
Service Description
Provides flexible and culturally sensitive services to promote the health and wellbeing of people who have been tortured or who have suffered refugee related trauma prior to migrating to Australia. Provides services which address the range of physical, psychological and social needs that survivors of torture and trauma have. Services are for refugees, asylum seekers and those from refugee-like backgrounds. They must be living in Queensland. There are different programs for different ages and the person needing assistance may have been living in Australia for any length of time, from a few days to many decades.
