MERIT Program Central Coast

Service Description

A Local Court program that targets adult defendants with illicit drug use problems, and who are motivated to voluntarily undertake drug treatment. There is an initial assessment and if determined a suitable candidate, supervised treatment may be part of the bail conditions. The treatment plan is usually three months. Magistrates are provided with a comprehensive report regarding the defendant's participation in treatment.
