Service Description

An independent body set up under the Western Australia Mental Health Act 2014. Conducts regular reviews and hearings of involuntary patients to ensure fair and respectful treatment and decisions regarding their care. Protects the rights of involuntary patients, and will review treatments, continued hospitalisation, ECT, Community Treatment Orders, and other matters under the Mental Health Act.
