The Shepherd Centre - Hear For You Program

Service Description

Hear For You is a school-aged program run by The Shepherd Centre that provides mentoring and support for young people who are deaf or have hearing loss. Created by people with lived experience, Hear For You offers a welcoming community where children and teens can connect with others who truly understand what it’s like to grow up in a hearing world. Through workshops and mentoring, we help young people build confidence, improve communication, manage school and wellbeing, and explore future opportunities. Our programs run across Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria, giving participants the chance to develop resilience, form lasting friendships and feel empowered to embrace their own path. As an NDIS-accredited provider, you can use funding from the Capacity Building Support Category for Hear For You programs. If you’re in between plans or not eligible, reach out, we’ll do our best to help.
