Queensland Mental Health Community Visitors for Adults

Service Description

Visitors conduct regular unannounced visits to selected sites in order to observe the standard of service provided on a daily basis. Sites include disability accommodation that is provided by Department of Communities, authorised mental health services, and private hostels. Advocates for rights of clients, access to services and decision making. They assist patients, families and carers with enquiries relating to treatment, complaints, CTOs, condition of facilities, Tribunal hearings and questions regarding the Mental Health Act.
