Legal Aid ACT
Service Description
Assistance with legal issues, especially people who are socially or economically disadvantaged. Legal advice is available for criminal law, family law, mental health, discrimination, NDIS and civil law matters. We provide information to help you understand the law, a free legal helpline, lawyers at Courts and Tribunals, a Family Dispute Resolution service, support for domestic and family violence victims, and grants of aid for people who face financially difficulty. Legal Aid ACT can help you by providing one-off legal advice for minor legal problems, ongoing legal representation for major legal problems, and non-legal support to help you while you take action to resolve your legal problem.
