Victim Support Service South Australia

Service Description

A state-wide, community-based, not-for-profit organisation in South Australia. Our mission is for South Australian victims of crime and abuse to feel respected, supported and safe. VSS is a trauma-informed service. We offer three core supports: - Redress Support Program for Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse. Our staff are skilled in providing support to people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse and can assist survivors to access the National Redress Scheme. Support is provided face to face or by telephone. - Safer Spaces Program provides support for victims of crime and abuse navigating the criminal justice system. Our volunteers also provide support via phone or for web and email enquiries. - Court Companions Program supports victims in criminal courts in metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia. Our volunteers accompany victims of crime during their time in court.
