Local Area Coordination (LAC) - Hunter New England Central
Service Description
The Local Area Coordination program provides support for people aged 9-65 access the NDIS Scheme. Local Area Coordinators work with people who have an NDIS plan or need assistance with linking to mainstream or community providers. The program also assists families and carers to help them plan for their future, build on their strengths and skills, and develop networks in their own communities so they are able to manage their lives outside of the traditional disability service system. Coordinators also work with communities to help them become more welcoming and inclusive of people with disability.
