mindDog
Service Description
Certifies psychiatric service dogs for people with mental health diagnosis so they are able to access public facilities with support of a trained dog. Once in-training, the dog can accompany the owner on public transport and other places. Once certified, the dog can accompany the owner to work, fly and hospital (require special arrangements/documents). The organisation will assess and certify dogs already belonging to people with mental health diagnosis, and allocate specialised trainers. Do not provide or train dogs. May not be able to support all areas - some rural and remote places, especially.
