RSPCA Community Outreach Programs
Service Description
Provides temporary accommodation housing for pets of someone who is 'living rough' (homeless), experiencing domestic violence or for people over the age of 65 who do not have support. People not fitting this criteria may be able to access emergency boarding if it is available. The RSPCA can assist people with emergency pet boarding who have been hospitalised for an illness, such as mental illness, by collecting the pet from the home and putting it into a shelter until the person is able to resume caring duties for the pet.
