Service Description

NNWCLS provides free legal advice and assistance to everyone living in the north and north west of NSW. We are not a means tested service; we help everyone whose legal issue falls within our extensive problem types. Based in Armidale we operate a monthly Outreach Program that sees us traveling across our catchment to 13 towns ensuring our communities have free face to face legal services. Our Court Liaison Program in Armidale and Glen Innes provides assistance to court users on list day. Legal assistance is provided for family law matters (some exclusions), consumer complaints, credit and debt, employment law, discrimination, criminal matters, victims compensation, apprehended violence orders, domestic and family violence, neighbourhood disputes, traffic offences, drafting of Wills, Power of Attorney, Enduring Guardianship, and Probate advice. NNWCLS has a Community Legal Education program offering legal information sessions to the community, groups and organisations upon request.
