Service Description

A large public, teaching hospital with over 800 beds. It is a trauma centre and provides a range of medical treatments and diagnostic services. It is home to the Westmead Institute for Medical Research, and also Redbank House, for children with acute mental illness and emotional disturbance. Other service areas include aged care, neurology, acute intervention, rehabilitation, brain injury, cardiac, neonatal intensive care, transplant surgery, mental health and outpatient services.
