Service Description

The clinic works with families using a model called Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). PCIT is based on play and aims to increase positive behaviours and reduce the negative behaviours of toddlers by strengthening the parent-child relationship and giving strategies to better manage behaviours. For toddlers 15 months-4 years, who display behaviour problems, including aggression, non-compliance, hyperactivity, withdrawal, tantrums. The average treatment program is weekly for 6-12 weeks.
