Service Description

The national peak body for diabetes education, management and care in Australia. Diabetes education is a specialty field of health care practice. ADEA accredits CDEs, who are specialists in diabetes education and care for all people living with, at risk of, or affected by diabetes, to ensure their optimal health and well-being. ADEA promotes and advocates for best practice diabetes education, management and care; develops and reviews clinical practice guidelines, resources and publications; develops and sets standards for care, accredits and endorses diabetes education and training delivered by universities and other organisations; provides professional development events and courses; and promotes and conducts research.
