The Benevolent Society - Carer Gateway
Service Description
Carer Gateway is a free Australia-wide service that supports the wellbeing of carers of all ages, including young carers. A carer is anyone who helps look after a family member or friend who has a disability, ongoing health condition, mental illness, drug or alcohol issues, a life-limiting illness, or who needs extra support because of their age. Carer Gateway offers a range of supports to make caring a little easier. This includes peer support to connect with others who understand, practical help through tailored support packages, counselling and coaching, online courses, emergency respite when you need a break, and podcasts you can listen to anytime. You donât have to manage everything on your own â Carer Gateway is there to support you.
