Service Description
An independent statutory agency within the Australian Information Commission. The responsibilities are Privacy as under the Privacy Act, Freedom of Information and overseeing the Freedom of Information Act and review of decisions under the Act, Government Information Policy as under the Australian Information Commissioner Act. It includes conducting investigations, reviewing decisions, handling complaints, monitoring agency administration and providing advice to the public, businesses and government agencies.
