The NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) is the official source of NSW crime, courts and custody information. BOCSAR conducts research into crime and criminal justice and evaluates initiatives designed to reduce crime and reoffending. It provides statistics on courts, custody and crime in specific areas. The website contains an extensive array of publications and data files and two crime tools: crime mapping tool - clickable maps and graphs to search crime by area; and sentencing tool - clickable graphs to search adult sentences by offence.
