Womens Justice Network

Service Description

A community organisation that advocates for the wellbeing and prospects of women and female youth who are affected by the criminal justice system. It supports women through mentoring and case management by providing gender responsive social support, a safe space, encouraging positive self identity, and supporting vulnerable women who are at risk of reoffending to make positive choices. WJN also provide Youth Group work for at-risk youth in the community and girls currently incarcerated in the juvenile justice facilities. It supports women and girls from all backgrounds and ages, including victims of domestic violence or sexual assault, Lesbian and Transgender, CALD, Aboriginal, Expectant mothers, Women with disability, and Women with complex needs, including mental illness or AOD issues.
