Service Description

Advocates for the mental health and wellbeing of infants, children, adolescents and their families. The focus is on development and implementation of appropriate prevention and early mental health programs and services. Works toward raising national awareness of these issues, research and best practice approaches, advising government and non-government bodies on mental health needs, and lobbying for increased funding and research. The National Workforce Centre for Children Mental Health (NWC) is implemented through Emerging Minds in partnership with the Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS), the Parenting Research Centre (PRC) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
