Service Description
SMART is evidence-based and effective with a range of addictive and problematic behaviours related to the use of use of alcohol, drugs (prescription and non-prescription), gambling, food, shopping, internet, sex, and others. SMART is also helpful in alleviating associated distress, including depression, anxiety and anger. SMART values choice, dignity, respect, compassion and non-judgement. Learning to make healthier choices increases self-esteem, assertiveness and agency.
