Uniting Medically Supervised Injecting Centre (MSIC)

Service Description

A supervised, non-judgmental environment for people (18 years and over) who inject drugs where they are welcomed and supported. Registered Nurses, and Health Education officers supervise episodes of drug injecting. There is immediate access to medical care in case of emergency. Staff are able to provide referrals to services including treatment for addiction. Drugs are not provided at the clinic, it is available to save lives from drug overdosing and unsafe practices, provide support and assistance and to encourage treatments and awareness.
