Service Description

Confidential outpatient counselling service for people aged 18 years and over wanting to reduce or cease cannabis use. Also for persons concerned about a family member's use. Evidence based treatment models used. Weekly sessions for around 5-8 sessions. Registrar of Addiction Medicine on site one day per week. Medical support is provided for assistance with symptoms of cannabis withdrawal if client is assessed as appropriate. Staff work closely or make referrals to Mental Health or other health as required. Information and presentations are provided for generalist health and welfare professionals and the community. Motivation Enhancement Therapy and CBT used.
