Compeer Friendship Program - Western Sydney

Service Description

A community mental health program that aims to improve the quality of life and self-esteem of adults (above 18 years) with a mental illness through one-to-one friendship with a caring volunteer. Friends meet up regularly for simple social activities, such as grabbing a bite to eat, going for a walk or visiting a local attraction. A Compeer friendship addresses the stigma and isolation associated with mental illness, and provides a rewarding and social volunteer experience.
