Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Helpline
Service Description
The service is available 24 hours daily for inmates, adolescent detainees, Correctional Services Officers, families, friends, carers, and youth workers. The line is staffed by trained mental health nurses who can provide information, advice and referral to mental health services. Justice and Forensic Mental Health Network staff who are concerned about the welfare of a person in care should generally make direct contact with the mental health service at the Health Centre of the Correctional Centre in which the person is housed rather than contact the Helpline.
