Mindful Dementia Care - Randwick

Service Description

The Mindful Dementia Care programs offer comprehensive support for all stages of Dementia, from mild to moderate and complex support needs. The program has seen the extension of capacity of people living with dementia to remain at home longer, increased carer competence in support of their person living with dementia and the overall increased well-being and quality of life for both the carer and person living with dementia. We provide a day centre social support in group settings and centre based respite available to residents of Randwick and Botany Local Government Areas. Centre Based Social Group runs Monday to Friday, with a Men's only dementia social group every Friday. Services include: Transport available to and from the centre, Morning tea, Lunch with Dessert, outings and activities. Also included is an assessment, information regarding respite services and referrals to other groups in the community, including carer groups, support for carers and families.
