Dareton Mental Health & Drug & Alcohol Service
Service Description
Multidisciplinary team providing outreach services to children, adults, and older persons with severe and persistent mental health and drug and alcohol issues. Includes those people who are identified as at risk of developing a mental illness, or substance use disorder. Assertive follow up given to those identified at significant risk of harm to either self or others. A Child Protection Counselling service for children where DoCS have identified child protection concerns. Activities include early intervention, case management, crisis intervention, promotion and prevention. Visiting psychiatrists for all age groups. Referrals made to sexual assault, domestic violence, relationship and general counselling. Outreach service to Balranald.
