Program for Early Intervention and Prevention of Disability (PEIPOD)

Service Description

PEIPOD is an early intervention service part of St Vincent’s Community Mental Health Service who provides support and treatment for young people aged 16-25 years from Inner City Sydney who have emerging psychotic illnesses or severe mood disorders. PEIPOD is a small multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals: social worker, occupational therapist, clinical psychologist and part time consultant psychiatrist. We deliver individually tailored collaborative service that comprises assessment and crisis intervention, case management, medication, psychological interventions, psychoeducation, peer support, family support, vocational interventions, educational assistance, and intensive outreach.
