Advocate for Children and Young People

Service Description

The Advocate for Children and Young People reports to the NSW Parliamentary Joint Committee on Children and Young People but is completely independent. The current Advocate is Zoë Robinson. The Advocate’s role is to improve the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people in NSW, advocate for their rights and represent their perspectives and experiences to decision makers. Under the laws that set up ACYP, we do not directly support individual children and young people, but if there are issues that impact lots of children and young people, we can work to ensure decision makers understand their needs and their rights. To connect with ACYP, you can send us an email, follow our social media, or sign up to our mailing list via our website.
