Service Description

A specialist court in NSW, that takes referrals from local and district courts of offenders who are dependent on drugs and eligible for a drug court program. It works in collaboration with other organisations, including the Community Corrections Division and Department of Health. The intention of the Court is to reduce drug dependency, promote reintegration to the community and reduce the need for drug dependent people to turn to criminal activity in order to support their drug habit. Offenders are diverted to programs designed to eliminate or reduce their dependency on drugs.
